T-Birds Sweep 3-in-3 of the last weekend in October

SPRINGFIELD, MA- The Springfield Thunderbirds swept their 3-in-3 last weekend as they beat the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Providence Bruins. The T-Birds begin the 3-in-3 in Hartford against the Wolf Pack. The Thunderbirds lost to the Wolf Pack on opening night at the MassMutual Center
The Thunderbirds were able to rebound in a big way at the XL Center as they scored the 5-2 victory against their I-91 rival.
On Saturday, they would host the Providence Bruins as part of a home-and-home series. The Thunderbirds would start to build their winning streak to two games as they defeated the Bruins 5-2 at the MassMutual Center.
The Thunderbirds would then travel to Providence to hope to sweep the 3-in-3 weekend. After trailing throughout the game of going back and forth, Mikhail Abramov would tie the game late in the third period.
Thunderbirds defenseman Dylan Coghlan would score the game-winning goal in overtime. The Thunderbirds have gone 3-0 against Providence already early in the season.
