AIC makes six in a row with the win against Army

SPRINGFIELD, MA- The AIC Yellow Jackets continued their hot streak on Tuesday night as they won their sixth game in a row defeating the Army West Point Black Knights 5-1 at the MassMutual Center.

AIC defenseman Brian Kramer would not waste any time getting the Yellow Jackets on the board as he took the wrist shot for his fifth goal of the year with 17:10 remaining in the first period to make it 1-0.

Brent Keefer would tie the game for the Black Knights to even the score at 1-1 with seconds remaining in the opening period.

Brian Kramer was able to score his second goal of the night with the setup from Brett Rylance. Kramer was able to make the move and put the puck on the right side of the net to make it 2-1 with 11:39 remaining in the second period.

Jordan Biro would set up Alexander Malinkowski for the one-timer with 8:21 remaining in the second period to make it 3-1.

Dustin Manz would extend the lead by three goals as Brett Callahan fired the shot. It trickled in the net and Manz was able to put the back in the goal to make it 4-1.

AIC would be on the penalty kill late in the third period as Blake Wells blocked a shot where it was 6-on-4.  Wells was able to get the puck to Evan Stella and Stella was able to put the puck into the empty net to make it 5-1.

The Yellow Jackets return to action tonight as they take on the Sacred Heart University Pioneers at Avon Old Farms in Avon, CT. Tonight’s game is sold out as the game is to raise money for the Connecticut Hockey Foundation in honor of former Sacred Heart Captain Jason Pagni. The Yellow Jackets will return to the MassMutual Center tomorrow night to take on the Yellow Jackets. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.
